By becoming the first team to beat Paris Saint-Germain in the league in season 2015-16, Olympique Lyonnais claimed a victory that was symbolic, historic and also vital to the club's European ambitions.
Symbolic because, on top of the fact of becoming the first club to beat Paris in the league this season, OL also became the second club to register three wins against the capital club since 2011 - FC Barcelona being the only other side able to make such a claim.
Historic, as the win was OL's 880th in Ligue 1 and marked their 2,100th top-flight match, and vital as the three points took Bruno Génésio's men into third place for the first time since Week 14.

Andy Delort
Stade Malherbe de Caen striker Andy Delort, who scored his 11th Ligue 1 goal and his tenth of the current campaign in the 2-1 win in Saint-Etienne, has played a big part in his side's being in the running for a European place.
Delort is the first SM Caen player to reach the tally of ten goals in a single Ligue 1 season since Youssef El Arabi (17 goals) in season 2010-11. Delort (four goals) and Ronny Rodelin (four goals) together have scored eight of their club's nine Ligue 1 goals in 2016.
