Leicester manager says team ready to fight for title again after being held by West Brom
Claudio Ranieri says Leicester City's performance in Tuesday night's 2-2 draw with West Bromwich Albion gives him more confidence in his side's fight for the title than their last-gasp victory against Norwich City did on Saturday.
Leonardo Ulloa was the hero at the weekend when he settled a tense encounter with an 89th-minute winner, but the draw with West Brom was a stark contrast.
After Salomon Rondon's opener for the visitors, Danny Drinkwater and Andy King hit back for Leicester, before Craig Gardner's wonderful free-kick left Ranieri's men three points clear at the top of the table.
Tottenham Hotspur can move above the Foxes on goal difference with victory over West Ham United on Wednesday, but Ranieri was very upbeat after a "fantastic" week for his team.
"I am more confident now then the match against Norwich," Ranieri said. "With Norwich we won the match at the end but created very few chances. Tonight we created a lot of chances.
"We draw the match but it is OK. Four points in two very difficult matches is fantastic. We are alive. Our spirit is ready to fight again and I am happy."
