Homecomings for star trio
A trio of Bundesliga stars are set to return to former haunts this weekend, chief among them VfL Wolfsburg's Julian Draxler. The Germany international, whose last appearance in an FC Schalke 04 shirt came against the Wolves on Matchday 3, returns to the city where he spent the first 14 years of his career. Adrian Ramos was a Hertha Berlin player for just five years, but those represented the first years of the Colombian's career in Europe before moving to Borussia Dortmund in 2014. Ramos heads back to the Olympiastadion on Saturday to meet a club for whom he scored 32 goals in 92 appearances. Last but certainly not least, Arturo Vidal (l.) returns to Leverkusen on Saturday evening, to face the club who gave him his first chance in Europe in 2007. "I'm still extremely grateful to Leverkusen," he said prior to their Matchday 3 meeting at the Allianz Arena. Now, the Chilean heads back to his former BayArena home.
Chicharito vs Lewandowski
The BayArena is the venue of Saturday evening's big match which pits together two of the most exciting strikers in world football. With 45 per cent of his side's goals so far this season, Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez's contribution to Die Werkself's campaign has been substantial. "We’re delighted how it’s panned out, that much is certain," Leverkusen managing director Michael Schade told bundesliga.com. "Chicharito is scoring so consistently. It was a wonderful transfer - others definitely envy us. There’s a real buzz around him." No less can be said about FC Bayern München's Robert Lewandowski, who has 19 goals in 18 games this season, including four in the first two fixtures of 2016. The Pole drew a rare blank in the Matchday 3 meeting between these two sides, however, and will be keen to avenge that as he continues the pursuit of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at the top of the scoring chart.
