Xherdan Shaqiri and Sadio Mane will be creators-in-chief when Stoke City and Southampton meet at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday, hoping to keep their clubs' European aspirations alive.
The Potters and the Saints head into the contest eighth and ninth in the Barclays Premier League respectively, separated by two points.Shaqiri has taken time to settle into life in England after moving from Inter Milan but the 24-year-old is a key attacking threat for Stoke with a club-high five BPL assists, to which he has added three goals.
Mane has created fewer chances than Shaqiri, with 34 to the Swiss's 45, but Southampton's wing has six assists, also more than any team-mate, as well as an equal goal tally to Shaqiri.
The Senegal player also outstrips Shaqiri in completed dribbles, 56 to 34, perhaps down to Shaqiri sharing responsibilities out wide with Marko Arnautovic and Bojan Krkic, all three of the Potters' attacking trident take off with the ball fairly equally.
By comparison, Mane has attempted many more dribbles (120) than his colleagues, with Dusan Tadic the next best with 38.
